Directionally Challenged

“They” say it’s healthy, right?…to laugh at yourself. Well, here’s one for you.

My husband and I throw a holiday soiree every year for 50 plus people. I was upstairs frantically getting ready. I decided to step it up a notch and wear false eyelashes. I read the directions for application, applied the glue to the lashes and attempted to put them on as straight as possible with my shaking hands.

Success! I did it. I walked around a little finishing up the getting ready process and my eyes were a little sticky. So I looked back into the mirror and realized that the eyelashes were longer on the inside than the outside. In other words, they were left and right specific and I had them on the wrong eyes. I had to pull the already dried lashes off my eyes and attempt
to reapply. It wasn’t pretty.

Hmm, who knew? I guess some people do, but I didn’t. My husband and I got a good laugh out of it and it kicked off the party just right.
