mixed signals

Last night, some friends and I showed up for dinner reservations a little early at the Melting Pot and decided to put some quality time in at the very quaint and utterly deserted bar.

Tom, we’ll call him ( a la Tom Cruise in Cocktail), says you can tell a lot about a lady by what she drinks, and, according to him, here is the breakdown:

If a woman orders red or white wine, chances are, she is mature and somewhat sophisticated. If she orders beer, she is down-to-earth and fairly easy going. Shots indicate that she needs attention and classic mixed drinks (like martinis and gin and tonics) imply attributes similar to “wine” drinkers.

There were others (some were not so kind) and they went further into detail, but that is the gist of it. I thought it was very interesting. Be wary of your order… mixed drinks could cause mixed signals!
