Outside of the box
June 17, 2009
Ah, Vegas. You either love it or hate it. 103 degree weather, scantily clad people, bling and inhibitions that are checked at the door (at least the Vegas without kids). I think packing for Vegas is relatively easy. I always know what we are doing. That’s the first suggestion; try to figure out what the plan is going to be. We always sit by the pool during the day and go out at night. This is what I’m packing for a 4 day/3 night stay:
4 bathing suits/cover-ups and flip-flops
3 dresses with HIGH heels
Jeans and a couple of cute tanks or blouses
I’ve had the best luck finding ‘Vegas” appropriate outfits at Guess, Bebe, and Victoria’s Secret. I ordered a dress for the trip and it came today. My friend’s husband happened to be at my house (he’s going to Vegas with us) and when I unwrapped the dress and held it up, we both started cracking up because it was sooo short. It looked like a shirt. I tried it on, and yes, it was short but not too short for Vegas. Yep, step’n outside of the box…while in my stiletto’s.
The attire doesn’t change that much if you are walking down the strip or seeing a show. It’s Vegas…HEELS and SKIN!
