Undercover Underwear

I am a girl from the 1980’s when bra straps were not supposed to be hanging out of my shirt. I am now raising a girl from the 2000’s and I have been informed that it’s okay to have bra straps showing with tank tops, halter dresses and t-shirts…..YUCK.

There are some trends that I really like on my 15 year old daughter, like the leggings with a long shirt and shinny belt or the skinny jeans and loose-fitting halter. But I can’t stop myself from pointing out the bra strap every time she comes downstairs to leave for school. And yes, I see other girls with the same look…un-matching bra straps hanging out for all to see.

I wasn’t a big fan of the “clear” bra strap phase but it beats this phase that every teenage girl is going through now! I know this to will come to an end; I just wish it would happen quickly!
