Mineral mania

I remember as a child visiting my grandmother in New Mexico. We would peruse her jewelry box for little treasures. One constant was turquoise; an opaque, blue-to-green mineral. Honestly, it was never my favorite. But lately I have been swayed into the other direction by it’s funky new designs. Rings, necklaces, embellishments, clothes, shoes…everything seems to have turquoise on it. It’s like jeans, it matches everything and looks great with a tan.
